The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheet for Class 10 on January 10, 2018. The Central Board of Secondary Education examinations for Class 10 will begin on March 5 and will end on April 4. The first major exam for Class 10 students would be the Hindi paper on March 6. Last year, the board had released the date sheets on January 9, 2023. The Class 10 board exams were held from March 9 to April 10.

CBSE 10th Result 2023 – Date of Declaration
New Delhi: Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE would be releasing the Class 10th Results 2018 in the month of May. The date for the declaration of the results is not available as yet. As per past trends, CBSE 10 Results are often released by the end of May. Tentatively, sources and experts believe that the results for Class 10 students would be released by May 27, 2018 on the official website cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. CBSE is the largest board of the country in terms of reach. Schools all over the country and even outside India are affiliated to the board. As many as 16,85, 000 students (approximately) have appeared for the examinations that started from March 5, 2018 and ended on April 4, 2018. The board releases the results on the official website cbseresults.nic.in. The results were also made available on third party sites last year. The Class 10 Maths paper 2018 was first announced as cancelled by the board following paper leak. However, later the board decided not to conduct the re-examination after trend analysis showed that there was no visible impact of the paper leak. Also, the examination for CBSE Class 10 for French, Urdu and Sanskrit for Punjab state students, however, would be conducted tomorrow, April 27. The examination scheduled for April 2 was cancelled in the state following a law and order situation. This delay is expected to delay the results but sources are confident that the board would be able to release the results in the last week of May.
Examiners who have been employed by the board have confirmed that the evaluation work for CBSE Class 10 examinations 2018 are almost complete for most of the subjects. These reports, however, are from Delhi NCR region only. The expert believe that the board may release the result well on time or even earlier. Reportedly, CBSE has implemented strict checks and guidelines for affiliated schools and examiners to ensure that the evaluation work is not delayed due to non-participation. The board had last year also stated its intent of speeding up the result declaration process.

In 2017, the pass percentage in the Central Board of Secondary Education's Class 10 result fell to 90.95 per cent from 96.21 per cent in 2016, registering a dip of 5.26 per cent.
The pass percentage of boys improved by a significant margin, jumping from last year's 78.9 per cent to 93.4 per cent. The pass percentage of girls also improved from 88.6 per cent to 92.5 per cent.
While 1,05,188 boys scored a CGPA of 10, 1,00,950 girls have scored the perfect number.
Trivandrum region had the highest pass percentage at 99.85 per cent, followed by Madras at 99.62 per cent and Allahabad at 98.23 per cent. Delhi fared badly, recording a pass percentage of 78.09 per cent against 2016's 91.06 per cent, a fall of 13.67 per cent.
